Product Overview
The Vulcan VSP100-1 is a gas stock pot range with 1 cooking section, each driven by two concentric ring-type burners rated 55,000 BTU/hr apiece for 110,000 BTU/hr per section and 110,000 BTU/hr total.
A stock pot range exists because a standard range top is the wrong height and the wrong burner shape for a 60-quart pot. The low deck means a cook can lift a full pot without reaching over a backriser, and the concentric ring burners spread flame across the whole pot bottom rather than driving a hot spot at the center that scorches a reducing stock.
Each section has two infinite heat control valves, so the cook can run the outer ring alone for a long simmer or both rings for a fast boil. Heavy-duty cast iron top grates take the load, the front and sides are stainless steel, and a heat shield keeps the controls cool. Gas connects at the rear through a 3/4" fitting with the pressure regulator supplied.
