National Restaurant Supply was founded in 1948 by Irving Gulbas, shortly after he returned home from serving in World War II. What began as one man's commitment to helping local restaurants get the equipment they needed has grown, over three generations, into the Southwest's premier source for foodservice equipment and supplies and NRS remains, to this day, entirely family owned and operated.

That growth didn't happen by accident. Bruce Gulbas took the reins from his father and built National Restaurant Supply into the company it is today, expanding its reach and reputation across the region. His son, Brent Gulbas, NRS's current owner, shaped the company around a simple principle that still guides every interaction: customer service comes first.
